You make known to me the path of life;

in your presence there is fullness of joy;

- PSALM 16:11

women of the word

The theme of our 2019 retreat is 'Women of the Word.' We hope you can join us as we spend dedicated time considering what it means to be a woman of the word, encouraging one another in fellowship, taking time to get to know each other better, and spending personal time resting and reflecting.

Our speaker will be Kristie Anyabwile from Anacostia River Church in Washington DC.

RATES & REGISTRATION

Our goal with the women's retreat has always been to find a homey place that we can be together. (As opposed to renting hotel rooms). Similar to previous years, we have booked several large houses. This means we have the space to ourselves with plenty of opportunity for gathering and fellowship. However, that also means that each bedroom is a little different. So, as always, we appreciate your flexibility and grace with room assignments.

Prices are based on the number of people to a room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. When you register, you can let us know whether you have a preferred roommate. We will always try to accommodate everyone's wishes, but again- due to the unique nature of the houses- we do the final assignments based on what works best for the whole group.

Single Room (1 person in 1 room): $350

Double Room (2 people in 1 room, sharing 1 bed): $265

Shared Room: Bed or Bunk (3+ people in 1 room, shared king beds or twin bunk beds): $235

Shared Room: Futon  (3+ people in 1 room, individual queen futon bed): $225

Shared beds are king sized, futons are queen sized

We have a limited number of each type of room.

Registration opens February 3rd for EPC members and attenders and June 9th for friends of members.

Once you register and pay the $50 deposit, you will be sent the room list to sign up.

PAYMENT DEADLINES

$50 Deposit: Due at Registration

$100 additional payment: Due by June 8th

Remaining balance: Due by August 11th

If you miss the deadlines, you will drop to the waiting list.

All payments must be completed in full by the August 11th deadline.

We encourage you to set up recurring payments online (to the women's retreat fund) in order to pay your fee over time

SCHOLARSHIPS

The fee covers your room cost, dinner on Thursday, breakfast and dinner on Friday, and breakfast on Saturday. EPC does subsidize the cost of the retreat so that we can keep prices as low as possible. We'd love to help as many women as possible attend the retreat, and thus, have established a small scholarship fund. Unfortunately, due to the limited size of this fund we can't promise the availability of scholarships to all who apply nor can we offer full scholarships. Please indicate when you register whether you are in need of scholarship assistance. A scholarship committee will be in touch with you to discuss your scholarship need.

MEALS

Dinner is provided on Thursday, breakfast and dinner on Friday, and breakfast on Saturday. EPC does subsidize the cost of the retreat so that we can keep prices as low as possible. While we desire to accommodate all dietary restrictions, this can be a difficult task with 60 people in attendance. Please show us grace in the matter of food preferences and allergies. We will carefully mark all the items, so that you will know what you can and cannot eat. You will be asked to list any allergies or dietary restrictions at registration. Please consider whether you need to bring meal supplements in cases of strict allergies or restrictions.

CARPOOLING ENCOURAGED

The drive to Pigeon Forge is just over 4 hours. We encourage everyone to make arrangements to carpool with other attendees. Carpooling is a wonderful way to save on travel costs as well as expand our social circles and deepen our relationships! Please make your own travel or carpooling arrangements. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ruth: ruth@epointchurch.org
