EPC kids summer creation club

Join us for our Summer Creation Club! We'll have fun exploring together and learning more about God through His amazing creation!

These activities are intended for both children and parents - supervision is not provided, so parents will need to stay with their kids. Activities are designed for elementary age, but all ages are welcome!

Grown-ups book club

As part of our summer activities, we're offering a book club for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, and anyone interested in helping children grow in Lord. This summer's book is Resilient Kids: Raising Them to Embrace Life with Confidence by Dr. Kathy Koch.

Children need to believe their future is bright. The more disappointments they don't recover well from, the less likely they are to dream. When they do not process challenging experiences well it can lead to defeat, rather than encourage them to grow and mature. Far too many children don't grasp their strengths and, as a result, do not believe they can overcome negative encounters. Apathy sets in. Discouragement persists. Arguments rage. Mental health suffers. Children need to be resilient, and when they develop this ability and make wise choices it becomes part of their character. Furthermore, they need parents who help them to learn from negative experiences and who allow them a certain measure of struggle. In Resilient Kids moms and dads will learn the power and purpose of resilience from a biblical perspective and how to help children develop this character quality in the Lord.

You can learn more and purchase the physical or audio book HERE

Read or listen to the book through the rest of July, then we'll meet on July 31 for a group discussion
