How you can pray for us:
.
1. Pray for our faithfulness to God in laboring to see our vision for EPC become a reality. As you know, planting a church is not easy, and the temptation is to do whatever works. But we want to maintain the priority of the gospel as our vision. Please pray that we will continue to do so.
2. Pray that our efforts for outreach will be fruitful in bringing people to the joy of the Lord and the fellowship of East Point Church. Besides our weekly Sunday Evening service, our Thursday Evening Bible Study, we have a men’s breakfast once a week at a popular local restaurant. This is providing opportunities to engage people with the gospel and our mission. We hope soon to develop a similar outreach at a local golf course. Every time we meet, we hope not only to share our vision with those in attendance, but also invite people to hear and experience our gospel community in worship. Pray that our message will exalt God in Christ and that He and His gospel would have the preeminence in our communications.
3. Pray for those who will regularly partner with us in the gospel. If you know of any one in our area desiring to labor for the Kingdom, invite them to come and consider serving with us. Faithful people are our most valued resource. Pray that those who are here remain faithful and that those whom God sends will be faithful as well.
4. Give thanks to God for opening the doors to the place we are currently meeting. We continue to meet on both Thursday and Sunday evening at East Point Presbyterian Church. The space is great, both for location and use. So pray with us a prayer of thanksgiving as we continue to be the recipients of God’s grace. Pray also for a suitable location for future Sunday morning services.
5. Give thanks and praise to God for providing the Carters a home. After much prayer and eager anticipation, the Lord has provided the Carters a home in East Point that meets their personal needs and exceeds all expectations with His provision. Continue to pray for them to be a fruit-bearing presence in their neighborhood and the city of East Point. Also continue to pray for others who live in the community or who are seeking to move into the area.
Brothers and Sisters, this is just a small list of our prayer needs. More can will be listed soon. Until then, keep us before the throne of God – always remembering us in every prayer because of our partnership in the gospel (Phil. 1:3-5).
